It’s time to see in more detail at what “good” looks like when choosing your new practice management solution.
Let’s imagine great software in action.
When your staff log in, they should be able to see their work for the day, the week, and the month laid out in front of them.
Managers, meanwhile, should quickly spot where things are getting stuck. The software should show you your pinch points across the year before you reach them, so you can plan resources. That way you can talk holidays, priorities, and whether you need an extra pair of hands while there's still time to act.
It should also help you understand which clients you make money from, rather than simply who pays you the biggest fee. For example, you’ll understand how much work is assigned to who, and how long the work is taking. Some solutions will help managers track this at ground level with their teams; others are built to give overall leadership a bird’s eye view on lost time and money – think fully tracked, non-billable time, for instance. We’ll provide you with some examples at the end of this guide.
